How to Get Started Using Google Adwords.

While the Google AdWords program can bring great benefits when used correctly, it is possible to spend a lot of money and have little to show for results. One major stumbling block is the Starter Edition.

Steps:

1.In order to follow these recommendations, you need to have a website before creating your AdWords account.

2.Direct Your Web Browser to AdWords.Google.com

3.Click on the big Start Here button.

4.Select the "Standard Edition" radio button. Even though you may be quite new to the idea of advertising on Google, do not sign up for the starter edition. You will improve you chances of creating profitable ad campaigns by going directly to the Standard Edition.

5.Create your account if necessary or enter the existing account information.

6.Set Your Currency Preferences.

7.You are now ready to create your first campaign.

8.Be sure to provide your billing information or your ads won't appear.

9.Research other articles on how to set up a campaign.

Note:
The Starter Edition appears to be very tempting, bu do not fall for it.

Learn about the various settings. Turn off most of the defaults.

Set your budget conservatively to start. You will find it is possible to run up a big bill in a hurry if you are not careful.
Hundreds of dollars can disappear in a few hours.

Use only a few keywords in each campaign.

Use landing pages designed to match the keywords.

Try to imagine yourself being presented with your ads.

Ask yourself what your response would be.

Test different ads. Always write at least two versions of every ad.

After at least one hundred impressions, see which one is attracting the most people.
Repeat the process.
